A leading Design & Build company, specialising in home improvements & extensions, is offering a rare opportunity to a gifted Project Designer to take charge of a consistent flow of projects!

Having been established for over 30 years, this Design & Build company have become experts in delivering a comprehensive service for private home extension projects. They successfully take developments from the conceptual design stage through to project management and the completion of the build meaning that all the needs of their clients are taken care of with professionalism and efficiency.

Their small, yet talented team are currently delivering 40 extensions a year from their Hertfordshire office meaning that they have secured a position amongst the leading companies in the UK.

Due to continued success they are now looking to support one of their current Project Designers in opening a new office and ultimately expanding the company. As such, they are on the lookout for another experienced Project Designer to come on board to take charge of the current office with the long-term goal to open a third office themselves further down the line.

As the successful Project Designer you will be afforded all the support and guidance required to make a success of the opportunity. The company have perfected a process that has seen positive results for decades and you will be shown the entirety of their operations in order for you to meld this with your own project management ability and continue to deliver profitable projects of outstanding quality.

The company will take care of all the marketing, recruitment of Builders as well as the winning of new work leaving you free to manage the projects independently!

This would be an ideal position for a Project Architect or an Architectural Designer with fantastic project management experience within a Housebuilder environment or with an Architectural practice that very much specialises in the residential sector. You should be able to clearly demonstrate management ability as you will be expected to ensure the profitability of the company.

Earning potential up to £80k…

The rewards for performing well are unrivalled in the area with a fantastic bonus scheme that sees current management earning in the region of £80k per annum. The initial basic salary will be around £50k, however the ideal scenario for the company is that the successful Project Designer eventually becomes a franchise owner and so will have a vested interest in the future of the company.

Essential requirements for Project Designer:

RIBA qualified Architect, Architectural Technologist or Architectural DesignerExtensive project management experience within the residential sectorAbility to take an architectural design project through all stages through to completion on site Highly knowledgeable with architectural drawings and plansConfident when communicating with all stakeholders of a projectUp to date and knowledgeable with UK Building RegsDriven, ambitious and a good work ethic

The current office is based in the centre of the Hertfordshire market town of Hitchin within close proximity to shops, restaurants and the train station. It is commutable from Hitchin, Stevenage, Luton, Bedford, Milton Keynes, Welwyn & Cambridgeshire.
