Senior Architectural Technician

Wakefield based 5 star customer satisfaction rated House Builder require an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join their in-house Design and Engineering team to assist in the successful delivery of various new build developments across the West Yorkshire region.

The successful Architectural Technician will join their regional Headquarters in Wakefield and form part of their design team which consists of a Technical manager and a further three Architectural Technicians and Designers, the team is managed by an experienced Technical Director who also oversees the Engineers and Land team.

The Architectural Technician will be responsible for the following -

Coordinating between the Design team and construction site.Job running and managing external consultants and progress on site.Use AutoCAD to produce site plans, material plans, phasing plans, conveyance plans, management plans, sales area plans, constraint plans, street scenes, house type drawings, standard details and any other architectural plans required Prepare design risk assessments and health and safety plansPrepare drawings and information for marketing such as brochuresContributing to planning and other regulatory application proceduresProduce, analyse and advise on detailed specifications for suitable materials or processesCoordinate all design informationLiaising with appropriate authoritiesAttend site meetings, site visits and office meetings Ensure Building Regulations are adhered to

Ideally the Architectural Technician will possess the following background -

Experience of Residential projects, preferably within a volume House Builder or Architectural Practice.Design and planning expertise and good technical knowledgeProficiency in AutoCAD and Photoshop, some REVIT experience would be desirable but not essential. Excellent customer service skills and a natural client facing ability.Keen to develop and advance a career within the House Building sector.

Salary & Benefits.

Up to £45,000 depending on experience

Company car or car allowance up to the value of £5000 per annum.

10 % Bonus scheme (performance related)
