We are looking for an Architectural Technologist with confidence in their ability to jump straight into a senior-level role with an Architectural design practice based in Chelmsford who have managed to acquire an enviable reputation for design quality and originality.

With a whole host of completed design projects across a range of sectors, their speciality lies within the residential sector where they have successfully delivered a mixture of multi-million-pound, high-rise apartment blocks and multi-unit developments for reputable clients such as CALA Homes, David Wilson Homes & One Property Group to name a few.

The ideal candidate for the role would be a CIAT accredited Architectural Technologist but the role could also suit a technically-minded Architect too. You would also need to have proven ability in leading a team, liaising with other consultants and possess excellent client-facing skills.

Architectural Technologist responsibilities include:

Leading projects from inception to completion - in particular RIBA Work Stages 4-6Managing and Coordinating a project teamForecasting and Coordinating project resource and work-flowProviding technical expertise across a variety of projects from inception to completion across all RIBA stagesPreparing and Coordinating technical design packages, building regulation submissions, tender and contract documentationLiaising closely with clientsProviding on-site technical support to clients and/or contractor

If you are Senior Architectural Technologist / Technical Architect capable of carrying out the responsibilities above, you must also have the following requirements:

ARB/RIBA Qualified Architect or Architectural Technology degreeAt least 5 years PQE in professional practiceResidential project experience is essentialExperience of working closely with design & build contractors and house-builders - beneficialProficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT and/or ArchiCAD

The successful Senior Architectural Technologist will gain a highly competitive salary offered likely to be in the range of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience. You will also have your own on-site car parking space and your professional memberships are paid.

With the office situated in Chelmsford, this practice is commutable from Colchester, Braintree, Harlow, Brentwood & Billericay.
