Senior Architectural Technologist / BIM Coordinator

Conrad Consulting are currently in partnership with a Nottingham city centre based architectural practice that require a Senior Architectural Technologist with excellent BIM capabilities, to join talented and ambitious team!

Due to an influx in workload in the Residential and Commercial sectors, the practice is looking to recruit a Senior Architectural Technologist/BIM Coordinator - your role will include technical detailing and preparing planning applications, through to attend client meetings, site visits and corresponding with external consultants on one hand. On the other hand, you will be instrumental in the further development and implementation of Revit software and BIM systems throughout the office. You will be the "BIM champion" in the office, providing guidance to those with minimal Revit/BIM knowledge, and taking the lead on projects that will be operating at BIM Level 2.

Following the current work in the Residential & Commercial sectors, you will be exposed to an array of high profile schemes in areas such as; Healthcare, Education, Leisure and Conservation. Therefore, a background working on diverse projects in a wide spectrum of sectors would be ideal for this position.

The practice have invested heavily in to implementing and applying BIM systems and Revit software throughout the office, and are working on a range of projects at BIM Level 2. The practice now require a Senior Architectural Technologist with a background in BIM to take this further. Therefore, a Senior Architectural Technologist with aspirations of becoming a BIM Coordinator, or BIM Manager, would be ideal for this role.

Ideally you will have approximately 5-10 years post degree experience for this position, however applicants with Revit proficiency in a BIM environment will be looked on extremely favourably.

The successful Senior Architectural Technologist must have the following skills & qualifications:

A degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent.5+ years of post degree experience in a practice environment.2 years of Revit use and exposure of projects at BIM Level 2.A track record of leading medium sized projects throughout most of the RIBA stagesConfident in communicating with clients, and experience liaising and coordinating work with consultantsExperience of BIM implementation in a medium sized practice.Keen attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality technical detailing.

Salary offered is between £40,000 - £47,500 depending on experience.
