ER-focused HR Manager for Influential Architecture Practice in Sustainability

We are searching for an accomplished HR Manager with proven experience in ER to join an eminent Architecture studio. This is a maternity cover role for a fixed-term contract of 10-12 months and will require a calm and knowledgeable individual with superb interpersonal sensitivity. It’s an excellent opportunity for a HR Manager to sample an excellent design studio working culture and support some of London’s most impressive Architectural figures.

To be considered, you must demonstrate at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a large Professional Services environment. Understanding of supporting a large design team is beneficial and ideally you will hold a CIPD qualification (although not essential).

Based in their stunning, renovated studio space in a desirable London location, the HR Manager will lead the implementation of recruitment, inductions, ER, L&D, career development, staff benefits and payroll for a 100-strong team. Reporting to the Partners and line-managing a HR Administrator, you will advise on best HR practice and offer an ‘open door’ approach to employees on work-related issues. As the in-house authority on legislation changes, legal compliance and company policies, the HR Manager will strategically consult on staff reviews, interviews and skills mix in the studio and undertake all activities to ensure a seamless support service. With a focus on ER and Training & Development, the successful candidate will follow-up on review meetings by analysing and actioning structured training programmes for individual team members. Equally, you will be at the forefront of identifying career development opportunities for Architects and support staff alike.
