Senior Architect required to join a multi-award winning Architectural Consultancy practice in Leeds.
Through our clients multi-service, multi-sector and multi-geographical nature, they are able to provide value that goes beyond what is typically delivered in the industry, supplying a service that draws from their comprehensive and inclusive knowledge and experience base running throughout the practice.
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Architect to be based in their Leeds office which is situated in the city centre in a spacious modern studio environment. Required is someone with a proven residential background and used to delivering projects on site, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of associated projects and maintaining excellent working relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties.
The Leeds office typically works across a broad range of projects from large scale private residential developments to small scale social housing developments. The team also work across a number of mixed use and education projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a number of projects from inception to completion for a range of clients to deadline and on budget
Mentor and support junior members of the team to develop their management and professional skills
Take responsibility for project design team management as lead architect.
Write and present reports, proposals, applications and contracts
Act as a focal point between the team and clients and consultants in ensuring clear communication and progress on the projects, and delivering high levels of customer service
Manage the preparation of presentation drawings, take a clear brief and use an innovate approach to developing into a concept design as well as guiding others in these tasks.
Assist the directors, with support from the marketing team, to bid for and win new business.
Develop and maintain a network of professional contacts and attend relevant industry events to promote the business.
Manage the production of detailed design drawings, working drawings and schedules and specifications using 2D, 3D Autodesk and 3D rendering packages.
Required Skills and Experience
You will have proven post-qualification experience gained within an architectural practice, underpinned by the ability to manage clients and with a good understanding of profitability and commercial awareness. You're a strong communicator and presenter who can work collaboratively and effectively within a team.
* A minimum 10 years' post qualification experience
* ARB / RIBA affiliated Architect ready for a step up
* Demonstrable job running and site coordination experience
* Proficient in REVIT software & BIM Management
* Experience on NBS spec writing, excellent detail and production drawing capabilities
* Ability to manage and resource a number of projects from inception to completion for a range of clients to deadline and on budget
* Demonstrable project lead with client facing experience
* Confident and enthusiastic
* Very good technical level of spoken and written English Salary depending on experience £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + extensive benefits package.
