Project Architect (Property Developer)
A unique opportunity has come available in Manchester City Centre for a Project Architect to join a thriving Property development business.
This type of role will not be well suited to everyone; we are looking for someone very specific. Ideally you will be business minded, design-focused, entrepreneurial and with an exceptional attention to detail. Preferably you will have worked in an Architectural practice for some time and have the desire to take greater ownership of projects by taking a front-seat in the world of property development. Since this property development company's inception, they have been integral in the development of some of Manchester's most well-known buildings. They have worked in partnership with some of the region's most reputable, Architectural design studios to create innovative Residential, Retail and Commercial properties. They are led by a commercially astute Director with a desire to grow his business even further over the next 5 years. This will include the formation of an in-house design team to undertake full responsibility for their portfolio of work and lessen their reliance on external consultants.
Initially there is a selection of bespoke residential, mid-low rise, commercial, retail and mixed-use schemes either partially complete or ready to proceed with. The future pipeline of work will include high-rise, residential schemes alongside the selection, design and implementation of a suitable, city-centre office space for the design studio alongside various other exciting projects.
To be considered for this Project Architect role we are hoping for candidates to meet the following criteria:
- ARB/RIBA Architect.
- Between 2-5 years Post-qualification experience preferred.
- Desire to work within a Property development company.
- Proven experience working on Residential and Commercial schemes.
- REVIT & AutoCAD experience preferred.
- Located in close proximity to Manchester city centre or South Manchester/Stockport.
- To be entrepreneurial/business minded/commercially astute.
- Able to work independently.
- Have on-site experience.
In joining this business you will be the first Architectural hire within the company. It is forecast that within 6-12 months you will be tasked with further developing the studio including diversifying the workload and hiring new staff to join you.
