Property Services Project Manager/Senior Building Surveyor job on a 2-3 month temporary contract

Your new company
You will be working for a public sector organisation who are based in the Essex region and will become an important part of their Property Services team who manage and oversee the council's social housing stock. This is a permanent position, however, due to the urgency of the role an interim is required on a 2-3 month basis with the idea this potentially going to permanent appointment.

Your new role
The Project Manager/Senior Building Surveyor will be responsible for the Capital Projects including the tendering , specifications, procurement, project management and contract administration. You will also be line managing the Repairs team and Maintenance Surveyor's and will provide expert advice and guidance when needed, oversee the works and will ensure teams are exceeding their KPI's to ensure SLA's are met.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will need extensive experience in Building Maintenance Surveying and Project Management within a social housing environment. You will need to have an excellent understanding of CDM regulations as well as managing and overseeing the works of a small but capable team. Ideally you will be a member of RICS or CIOB or will have a degree or related industry qualification.

Flexible and remote working will be promoted, due to covid-19 however, their will be parking on site when required. Ideally this post will go to permanent after 2-3 months providing it is a good fit for both parties.
