Architectural Technician/Technologist (Revit)

Urban are working with a local authority on their requirement for an Experienced Architectural Revit Technician/Technologist to join their growing team on a contract basis to assist with a wide variety of projects.

Based in the North East, this Local Authority are delivering the design, tender and construction management of projects, through all RIBA work stages. The suitable Technician/Technologist will have a wealth of knowledge at working throughout RIBA 0-7 stages.

I am looking to speak with Technician/Technologists that have a diverse portfolio of work across multiple sectors. Experience in education buildings will be beneficial and put you at an advantage. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of current Building Regulations and experience of the Planning process.

Candidates should have outstanding technical software skills with a comprehensive & demonstrable working experience of Revit, supplemented by an extensive background in AutoCAD. The firm are strong BIM users so the role will be suited towards candidates that have had studio-based experience in Revit.

The scope of work with the local authority is diverse, and although the role will be predominantly working as a technologist on multi-million-pound projects, experience of managing smaller projects on site may be considered an advantage.

While working experience and software proficiency are paramount, relevant formal qualifications will be considered advantageous so please send across documents and information that supplements and supports your application.

The contract is due to run until March 2021, with a strong possibility of this being extended should the workload be there.

The role will be based at the studio office but will involve site visits and attendance at meetings out of the office. Due to current COVID working restrictions, the role will be home based for significant sections of the working week until further notice. Candidates should therefore be able to work with minimum direct supervision.
