Job Details

Celebrated designers & architects based in Central London are looking for a Finance Manager to add to their team. The role is busy and varied and the studio culture is inclusive, friendly & fun and in a great central London location. Very generous company perks, bonus and benefits are on offer.

Reporting to the Practice Manager you will help with the smooth and efficient administration and management of the practice's accounts and finances.

You will need to be AAT Qualified and have at least 4 years PQE in an accounting & finance administration role. A must is excellent accounting and financial management skills and be motivated by playing a key supporting role in the practice financial management & growth.

Knowledge of CMAP & Xero would be advantageous & experience of working in an architectural practice, design firm or the construction sector would be preferred

Key Duties will include:-

  • Process expense claims in Xero & CMAP and arrange payment Payroll induction for new starters
  • Collate payroll data, enter on payroll portal, liaise with payroll agency & check figures
  • First point of contact for Bank & external Accountant
  • Entering purchases invoice in Xero & project expenses in both Xero & CMAP
  • Raising sales invoices in Xero & CMAP for projects & credit control
  • Administer company pension
  • Month end procedures including publishing P&L results
  • Reconcile corporate credit cards
  • Update banking & reconcile bank accounts
  • Prepare, reconcile & file Quarterly VAT return, including arranging payment
  • Liaise with Project Teams over billing, payment schedules
  • Filing of financial correspondence
  • Monitor company credit standing
  • Liaise with mortgage lender
  • Prepare monthly Cash flow Forecast in consultation with Practice Manager
  • Prepare P&L figures & commentary for quarterly report
  • Prepare Year End Accounts for external accountant & liaising thereafter over amendments
  • Posting Year End Journals
  • Validate calculation, submission & payment of corporate tax return
  • Preparing figures for salary reviews
