Senior Associate - Berlin

An UK AJ100 practice are looking for a German speaking architect to be based in their Berlin office. The practice has offices globally and have recently won projects in Germany. Their focus is medium to large scale residential, mixed use and masterplanning and hospitality. The practice have one of the best benefits packages for its employees making this a rare position for an ambitious architect.

This is an opportunity to work with a UK practice and lead an office in Berlin. You will be responsible for projects and leading a small team in Berlin. The UK team will be responsible for business development. The role would suit a small practice who may have 1-2 members or an ambitious architect who wants to progress into a project lead role. Those who are already leading project may want more autonomy and flexibility which this role would allow.

This best suits an architect who has experience of delivering projects in Germany, familiar with the building regulations and has seen large scale projects from planning to completion. You will work with the UK practice on drawings and lead from Berlin. You will need to understand planning, contracts and building regulations in Germany.

Portfolios showing a range of medium to large scale developments are best suited. You must have strong technical delivery knowledge and be ready to lead projects throughout construction stages.
