Commercial & Strategic Lead - architectural practice

A creative London studio are looking for a commercial leader connecting finance, marketing, new business with senior partners and the board.

The role will be responsible for project pipeline (secure and unsecure) across the studio. You'll be defining new strategies, developing new systems to tie all business areas together enabling efficiencies throughout the practice. You’ll be leading the new business strategy across competitions and lead development, identifying, developing a portfolio of projects. The role will work across global markets and won’t involve travel.

You’ll be evolving existing structures and strengthening the processes in place. It is an internal facing studio/business focused position and will not involve any project work.

This will suit profiles who have experience of commercial management roles in either architectural, engineering or design agencies. You need to have a strategic mindset and balanced approach for the needs of the business, managing conflicting opinions and articulate best business decisions. A key skill for the role is a the ability to step back and listen to all presented ideas.

You will be responsible for a small team, ensuring opportunities and developmental routes. Communication and articulation to all levels of seniority is crucial.
