Job Details

An exciting opportunity has just become available for a Senior Architect to work for a busy practice in Surrey. This is a permanent position with a salary in the range of £45-50,000 pa depending on experience.

For this position you'll need at least 5 years experience post Part III. This is likely to be quite a demanding role on the client side so you should have a track record of working alongside clients on site and taking them through the process. On top of this you'll be required to deal with contractors on site so experience of site based/delivery work is vital. Although this is a senior level position you'll be required to be hands on with upcoming projects. Experience of surveying would be a bonus but in general the focus will be someone's planning and post planning experience as you'll be operating within RIBA stages 3-6 for the most part. As a result you'll need to be comfortable with UK building regulations, putting together technical drawing packages, tender packages, sections/plans/elevations.

The company in question specialise within the residential sector, at present this is looking like private high-end residential projects in and around London and Surrey however they do also work on medium sized luxury developments so experience with either is a must. AutoCAD fluency is required and Revit would be a big bonus as this is currently being rolled out. Revit fluency would certainly put you in contention for this one. Due to the sit work required you will need to have the ability to drive as some of the sites are out of town.
