An opportunity has become available for an Architect to join a well-respected practice based in the Jewellery Quarter (Birmingham).

This practice are committed to provide vision, expertise and professionalism, delivering innovative solutions technically and commercially. For this role, you will be given the opportunity to demonstrate your job running ability, taking projects from conception to completion, producing technical drawings, whilst meeting with clients and seeing your Design/ Planning work come to life in the field!

You will be given the chance to work on a range of sectors; Commercial, Retail, Healthcare and Underground schemes. They are split into various Teams across their 50 strong Birmingham team, and for this role you will be joining the Residential / Education team as they have won various Student Accom projects, and you will be helping immediately on a circa 15m School in Rugby, which is due to go into Detailed design stages shortly as well as a very large Private school in the Lake District that is currently at planning/ Feasibility stages. 

They are looking for the right Architect to have a strong working knowledge of Revit, and can understand how this software works as a tool, and adapt their software knowledge across a variety of sectors. My client appreciates that sometimes candidates can get trapped on particular projects and certain Technical stages within larger practices, which can ultimately lead to the individual having quite a narrow skill-set working in a production line workflow. 

Having strong project familiarity within Student Accom. Or Education would be ideal for this position. However, also having a degree of Steel Frame experience and a diverse portfolio will be very attractive to my client. This in turn will give testament to you being able to transfer your Revit skills across a wide portfolio of sectors.

Salary on offer, will range up to £40,000 PA - Dependent on individual ability and experience.
