Head of Design. Developer.

Head of Design for a London development company.

You will lead the creative and commercial aspects of design from pre-acquisition all the way to completion. Reporting into you will be the interior design, public realm and architecture leaders. You will report to the COO and work closely with the development management, acquisitions and customer experience teams. 

The role requires someone with strong creative skills, excellent operational leadership capabilities and an understanding of the economic drivers of development. We are searching for someone who will not settle for the status-quo and is willing to challenge and encourage others to achieve the best quality design combined with a successful commercial model.

The focus has to be on the people who use the buildings and surrounding neighbourhoods. After all, it's their experience that will make or break each development so the brand values must revolve around human interaction and emotions rather than how grand a building might look. The projects also need to be sustainable from an environmental perspective. 

We'd like to hear from Director level Architects who would like to take on this all encompassing strategic role. We'd welcome enquiries from people currently working in practices or from those who are already working for a reputable developer. The primary typologies that we are interested in are hotels, residential and mixed-use projects.  

Salary £sixfigures plus bonus and benefits.
