Job Details

We’re delighted to announce a truly unique opportunity to work with a world famous artist and sculptor in his Islington studio. This is a tremendous role that will offer you the chance to be hands on within a close-knit team working in a creative, collaborative and captivating environment.

This revered artist has seen installations in some of the worlds most renowned galleries and has several major exhibitions on the horizon. His artistic creations are visually spectacular, awe inspiring pieces that blur the lines between art and architecture. So, if you’re an imaginative Part II Assistant with a passion for art who is looking to move away from the rigour of traditional architecture roles, then this is the perfect position for you.

As an integral member of the team, you’ll be helping to realise the artist’s concepts and will be heavily involved in the computational design and intricate fabrication of extraordinary artworks.

As such, the role requires the ideal candidate to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Outstanding Rhino and Grasshopper skills
  • Ideally a good understanding of CNC machining
  • Excellent computational design proficiency
  • Programming, scripting and coding skills
  • 3D printing and fabrication experience

This role is an initial 6 month fixed term contract leading to a full time permanent position. The team in place are friendly and supportive and we have personally placed a couple of Part II Assistants who are thoroughly enjoying being there! The smart Islington studio is fully equipped with all the latest toys and robotics including a number of 3D printers and state-of-the-art CNC machinery.

A role such as this comes around very rarely and we would not be exaggerating to say it’s a one-off! Don’t miss the chance to be part of something incredible, apply now.

We are a bunch of straightforward, knowledgable and empathetic individuals who are passionate about architecture and the people who occupy this space.  Ultimately we see our job as to listen, to care, to connect and to challenge.  We are not backward in coming forward and aim to work closely with all of our clients and candidates to achieve the best outcomes possible.  Our mantra is to find the right solution for every role that we work on and for every person that we represent.

White Space is a connected, results focused and creative recruitment consultancy that cares.  With decades of specialist architecture and design recruitment experience between us we are fully plugged-in to our markets.  We know who to talk to and how to get there.  We recruit for some of the biggest names in architecture and a lot more besides.  Whether your dream is to work for a big name practice or a small up and coming outfit (or anything in between), or if you are a client needing to gain access to untapped talent, then we can help you achieve it.

To us it is not so much about sales, more about having a great relationship with you that leads to the perfect solution that you deserve.  Give us a try, the process will be fun and you won't be disappointed.
