Hays are working with a London borough council's in-house projects and design team, to seek an architect or technician, to assist them on a major on-going project.
The council is going through the process of upgrading elements of their housing stock, examples could be upgrade of windows and doors. Typically these are Georgian and Victorian townhouses. Due to the heritage nature of the buildings, each of these requires planning application, this being where the team is needing support.
They wish to find a self-motivated and organised individual who will visit the individual sites, survey and produce autocad drawings to support these applications.
You may be an architect or technician, ideally with an interest in heritage buildings, good understanding of domestic planning applications, excellent drafting skills, and able to work autonomously.
The role will be offered on an ongoing contract basis initially, with a competitive hourly rate, however there is likely to be opportunity in the future for permanent appointment.
The role will be largely remote, with laptop monitor and oyster card provided, however you will be required for regular site visits. These will be in a relatively central London location and should be accessible for commuters from all sides of the capital.
