Project Specification Sales Manager

  • Join a newly formed collaboration between two leaders in innovative commercial lighting and high-end interior projects
  • Ground floor opportunity to build a business in the UK with a strong focus on the Clerkenwell Design Quarter in London

This is a rare opportunity for a graduate qualified specifications sales specialist to join this new collaboration being formed in London by two market-leading, well-known internationally recognised companies operating in the high-end of commercial lighting and innovative interiors.  BPM Lighting is a well-established recognised Spanish manufacturer looking to build its business in the UK and is working in collaboration with its partner Parklex also recognised as a leader in innovative architectural interiors solutions.  Operating from a new showroom based in the Clerkenwell Design Quarter, this key role will be at the leading edge of their strategy for growth in the UK and in particular through the design community in Clerkenwell.

The routes to market are through specifiers, architects, interior designers and consultants and the focus of the role is to build a network and develop a pipeline of future projects and to deliver on the potential that this new joint venture has.  You will focus on high-end cutting-edge projects and through networking, presentations, exhibitions and lots of face-to-face meetings ensure that the BPM / Parklex offering is the first choice for specification in this competitive marketplace.  You will be their Brand Ambassador and be given lots of support and scope to deliver on this.

A high calibre individual on an upward trajectory in their career with the drive, ambition, interpersonal and networking skills necessary for success in a role such as this is required.  You will have a degree in architecture or possibly fine arts or interior design and have a passion for design innovation in commercial interiors.  Experience of working on Stand-out commercial projects or interior architectural projects is required.  The range covers shopping centres, universities, museums, hospitals, offices, hotels, hospitality and sports facilities to name some, and their focus is on high quality solutions.  You will have a network and ‘know how to move’ within the Clerkenwell Design Quarter, be a superb relationship builder, have a high cultural level presence, a good knowledge of social network and computer technology and relish the scope this role offers.   Your formative training will have been in an interior design studio or a top architectural studio and you will have a real flair and interest in interior design as they want to appoint an individual with this rare combination of creative flair and commercial savvy.

The opportunity for career growth and long-term development with them is excellent and the package is comprised of a very strong basic salary, bonus and other benefits including travel allowances. You will also be expected to live within the London area, and ideally within an easy commute of the Clerkenwell Design Quarter.
