Job Details

A part 2 architectural assistant is required to support our Architects and Associate Architects. You will be responsible for working within a multi-disciplinary team within this family-run Architectural, Planning and Design Practice serving our well established client base throughout Southern England. The role involves delivering a wide range of projects, including new build homes, renovations and conversions of listed buildings, and extensions.

Main duties and responsibilities of the post holder will include:

  • Conducting the architectural services on a day to day basis under the direction of the Company Directors and Associate Architects
  • The preparation of a variety of drawings and documents required for all stages of a project
  • Assisting the Company in the development and monitoring of projects including site visits.


The role :

  • To undertake such other duties and responsibilities as are specified and are commensurate with the level of the post.

  • To ensure his/her personal health, safety and welfare in accordance with legislation.
  • Ideally the post holder would possess a current full UK driving licence.
  • Ensure that any identified personal training needs are discussed with the Director or Associate Architect as part of the CPD process.


It is envisaged the post holder will have:

  • An undergraduate degree in Architecture or a related subject, and
  • A postgraduate Masters in Architecture.


The post holder will have:

  • At least 1-2 years' professional experience, ideally working on residential architecture.
  • A good understanding of working on a project through all RIBA stages
  • A desire to expand their knowledge of through CPD's and research
  • Demonstrate good project management skills and coordination working as part of a team.
  • Possess the confidence to liaise with and advise clients and contractors
  • Ideally, the candidate will have experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe creative suite, although this is not required.
