Your new company

My client is a national wildlife charity organisation who aim to consistently deliver successful conservation, forge new partnerships with other organisations and inspire others to stand up and give nature the home it deserves.

Your new role

To deliver an effective solutions-focussed Building Surveying Team service in the UK, delivering corporate objectives, minimising risks and optimising financial returns.

 Clearly communicates the strategy at a multi-regional level to facilitate its delivery.
 Develop, implement, and monitor a planned maintenance programme for properties on the
Land and Property Estate (including all reserves/non-reserves, land, buildings, and rights) to ensure expenditure is aligned with best building surveying practice, and corporate strategy.
 Monitor and implement repairs to deliver reactive maintenance for properties to ensure expenditure is aligned with best building surveying
practice, and corporate strategy.
 Undertake a rolling programme of condition surveys and inspections of the Land and Property
Estate buildings portfolio, as required, for the preparation of a prioritised work programme to
inform the annual budgets, and to ensure expenditure is commensurate to need and is
targeted to achieving corporate objectives.
 Contribute to the implementation of the programme of capital works and engineering projects
on the Land and Property Estate (including those arising from projects) to reduce the
legal, financial and reputational risks.
 Contribute to the delivery of the renewable energy programme on the Land and
Property Estate via the installation of appropriate renewable technologies.
 Provide professional advice to all relevant staff to ensure all practices associated with the built environment and engineering projects implemented on the Land and Property Estate, are legally compliant and satisfy the Risk Management Programme requirements effective at the time to reduce the legal, financial and reputational risks.
 Contribute to the internal multi-regional decision making processes and structures to deliver corporate objectives and targets.
 Ensure the buildings portfolio files, estate records, deeds, property files, computerised programmes and systems are kept current and up to date to produce an effective and efficient building surveying service.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or other relevant equivalent professional organisation.

What you'll get in return

Competitive pay between £30,000 and £55,000 plus extensive benefits.
