Your new role
You will be working on a wide variety of interesting projects across the UK, including the design of building structures primarily, but also earth retaining structures, flood defences, etc. as well as carrying out structural inspections and writing inspection reports. You will be working in a variety of sectors as the company typically undertake residential, commercial, industrial, education, energy, leisure, retail and heritage projects for both private and public sector clients. You will lead the design work on projects from conception to completion with minimal direction/supervision from the Partners and have commercial awareness with respect to the project budget and fees.

What you'll need to succeed
You have a degree in civil or structural engineering and are either a Chartered Engineer or an Incorporated Engineer with membership of the ICE or IStructE. You should also have several years of post-qualification experience in the UK construction industry. You are proficient in the structural design and specification of buildings using all common construction materials and have experience of designing in accordance with Eurocodes and, preferably, also British Standards. proficient in the use of modern 3D analysis and design software and preferably be AutoCAD literate (experience with Revit would also be beneficial but is not essential).
