Architect / Senior Architectural Designer / Senior Architect (AutoCAD / Revit)

With the market as buys as ever, there are now 3-7 live roles available for you to work within a globally recognized design practice based in the Nottingham area.

 

They are focused on sustainable building design, and how they can produce the best Architectural building solutions (both here in the UK and overseas), in the most efficient way possible, keeping their carbon footprint very low in their building processes. They are keen to speak to any prospective candidates that share these same values,and can offer new sustainable methods of best practice approaches when it comes to building and design.

 

Sustainability is definitely becoming the focus point for all Architectural firms moving forward, and this practice want to lead by example!

 

If you'd like to be part of this practices strategy and in turn be rewarded with the chance to work on some very exciting projects that include large scale Airports (Middle-East / China/ America), Also they have Business Schools they are working on in Saudi Arabia and F1 Projects in the UAE. Many others coming through for their 2022 pipeline, and they do also take on close to home projects such as Nottingham City Football ground / Birmingham Bullring regeneration works as well as many other schemes.  

 

The main roles they are looking to fill, are Architect positions and please see below the salary banding's for each role (In line with their budgets):-  

 

• Senior Architect - £40k +
• Architect - £32 - 38k
• Architectural Designer - £30-36k

 

Being registered with the ARB won't be an issue for this role, in fact if you are foreign qualified it could actually go in your favour as my client are very interested in candidates with an international background and you sharing similar project familiarity to their international projects.

 

They have recently purchased laptops for the whole team, to work remotely and are currently hot-desking. They have decided to give their staff the chance to decide on whether they come to the office or work remotely. This being said, for new starters and to fully get you integrated with their team they would be looking for you to come into their office at least twice a week. 

 

All CV's will be reviewed and the salary banding above will all be based on the individual ability and experience

 

Key responsibilities:-

Design Expertise

• Deliver high quality design work, engaging others with your creative and innovative thinking.

Project Delivery

• Demonstrate a working knowledge of the design process and project brief, supporting the preparation of the project deliverables and other activities related to the project development.
• Deliver high quality work with limited guidance, demonstrating developed technical and/or design skills.
• Manage third parties according to the parameters of the project.

Team Membership

• Act as a team player, actively seeking feedback and demonstrating a positive attitude towards work and team activities.
• Support company-wide initiatives and progress areas of interest outside of projects as part of targeted goals and objectives .

Client Relationships

• Respond positively towards clients and consultants.
• Provide support to senior team members with client presentations and meetings as required.

About You

Education, experience and skills preferred

• Skilled in design, with a portfolio that showcases creativity and innovative thinking.
• Degree in related design field or equivalent certification or skill level; professional registration or equivalent is preferred.
• One to 5 years post qualification UK and/or international experience with excellent design capability and strong conceptual thinking
• Proficiency with computer applications commonly used; SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite, Revit preferred, not essential. Use of parametric tools is highly desirable.
• Ability to work both collaboratively, and with autonomy, assisting in guiding and managing junior team members, as required.
• Strong communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Able to demonstrate self-motivation, pro-activity and initiative

Career progression is very key to this practice, as they don't like to hire externally for Senior professionals. Instead, they'd prefer to naturally promote members of their team into Associate capacities and have a very good reputation of giving each member a tailored career plan, and goals for them to work towards to grow into a more senior role in the practice.
