Commercial Manager / Managing Quantity Surveyor

Permanent Commercial Manager / Managing QS role, Nottingham Roads / Highways regeneration, Main Contractor

Your new company
You will be working for a well known national contractor who have a regional office in the Nottinghamshire region. The company operate across a range of business units including consulting and project delivery. The organisation are seeking a permanent Commercial Manager to join their team based in Nottingham as they deliver a scheme which is set to last 6 years. As the role is hands on they would be open to a candidate from a Senior QS / Managing QS level from a contractor or consultancy background.

Your new role
You will be reporting into the Senior Commercial Manager of the business unit. You will have a team of Surveyors reporting into you as you liaise with the key client on the framework to deliver the works The role will involve planning and design, reviewing and analysing cost / value reports and budgets. You will manage the applications for payments and notifying of any compensation events and liaising with other subcontractors / supply chain. You will have day to day management tasks on a target cost and time change NEC 4 contract.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful you will hold a Commercial related Degree qualification and a strong background as a hands on Senior QS / Managing QS from a contractor or PQS background. You will have worked in the highways and roads sector previously and have experience of providing commercial support to design and consulting teams.
