Investment Surveyor Job, perm, thriving housing association based in Birmingham. £35.5K & excellent benefits.

Your new company
A thriving housing association based in Birmingham and operating across the West Midlands is going through a period of growth that demands the hiring of a new permanent Investment Surveyor to join the Estates Management team on the planned works side of the organisation.

This organisation invests in their employees and believes that when their employees thrive the organisation also thrives. It is an exciting time to join the organisation if you are looking to contribute to the direct improvement of the organisation's tenant's lives alongside others who are also embarking on the next chapter of their careers.

Your new role
The successful candidate will manage a diverse range of major works projects as well as overseeing building safety, stock condition, and compliance works. This is a management focused role as opposed to hands on surveying and is suited to those that have worked as a Contracts Surveyor, Programme Surveyor, Investment Surveyor, or other similarly titled role in the past.

It is a perfect role for those that seek a dynamic range of work in their day to day job as opposed to having a debatably mundane routine. This role will present unique challenges along the way and no two days will be the same.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have worked as a Contracts Surveyor, Programme Surveyor, Investment Surveyor, or other similarly titled role in the past. In summary, you will need experience with management of works in a pre and post contract sense, as opposed to the just initial Building Surveying.

You must be commercially aware, have sound awareness of compliance and building safety, be competent at writing specifications, be able to independently problem solve, manage change, as well as much more.

In a basic sense you will have a minimum of 5 years experience within the social housing, construction, or property sectors. You will ideally have worked on stock condition surveys before and will be highly knowledgeable of the ever changing legislative aspects of this job.

What you'll get in return
You will earn a £35.5K salary as well as a £1680 car allowance and excellent public sector benefits such a public sector pension scheme and excellent holiday entitlement.

You will also get the chance to directly make a major positive difference to countless lives in the form of this organisations tenants and have the chance to contribute to the greater good of society.
