Head of BIM

Exceptional multi-award winning design studio with global reach who are going through a period of growth and prosperity are looking for a head of BIM. This is an exciting opportunity to create their entire BIM strategy and its implementation, working closely with their current BIM consultant initially. Then build a BIM team from the ground up as the studio continues to grow and develop. Responsibility for making sure all models are compliant with BIM standards, with regular monitoring and auditing, assisting project teams workflows to maximise efficiency. Researching and implementing new BIM software and technologies as they arises. Also training and assisting project teams in complex Revit model issues to enable successful outcomes where needed. 

Job Description

• Manage the internal BIM Group
• Oversee BIM strategy and implementation
• Work with project leads and teams to ensure all models comply with company standards, undertake regular monitoring and auditing of projects to ensure compliance
• Take the lead on BIM and design team meetings
• Develop Revit standards
• Ensure best BIM practice across projects
• Manage the implementation of supporting software and technology for BIM
• Manage new versions of software as the are released and associated plug-ins
• Ensure knowledge of BIM within project teams is current
• Provide BIM support to the practice as a whole
• Train and mentor staff as required

Key Skills

• Qualified technician or Part 3 ARB qualified
• Experience as BIM Manager or BIM Lead
• Expert knowledge of Revit and BIM
• Working knowledge of Dynamo advantageous
• Experience managing architectural teams and their BIM workflows
• Knowledge of ISO 19560 Part 1 & 2: 2018
• Experience working on large-scale complex projects 
• An interest in new software and technologies
