Head of Interiors

Trailblazing design studio famed for designing engaging cultural and leisure projects across multiple continents is on the lookout for a Head of Interiors to lead its London team. Not for the faint hearted - this studio has achieved critical acclaim and is never far away from trending articles in international publications, so overseeing high profile projects and clients certainly comes with the territory. You will also be overseeing a small motivated and energetic interior design team, and managing a portfolio of projects ranging across the RIBA stages. This role would suit an interior designer with strong aesthetic design principles, and project experience ranging from intricately designed furniture to beautifully crafted places of worship.

Job Description

• Manage team of up to five interior designers at varying levels 
• Report in to the Global Head of Interior Design and Head of Project Management for the studio to plan and forecast project programme and resource 
• Take ownership of client relationships and deepen these further 
• Develop initial sketch ideas with the team and lead design team reviews / crits
• Present concept ideas to clients and new business opportunities 
• Occasional travel to on site projects

Key Skills

• Demonstrable experience working within a high calibre interior design environment 
• Experience across various scales of projects, ideally encompassing cultural, leisure, luxury private residential and furniture 
• Experience managing and motivating a small team
• Exceptional communication skills, an active listener who can build rapport
• Some experience in Revit at a management level is desirable but not essential 
• Strong hand sketching ability 
• Experience at competition stage of projects
