AJ100 studio with a strong UK presence is looking for an Urban Designer with an architectural background to join their well-established team. This is an opportunity for a a skilled and enthusiastic Urban Designer with demonstrable experience as well as a background in working on large-scale developer-led housing schemes. Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance on large-scale urban design and master planning projects of varying complexities.
- Work across all sectors including residential, mixed-use and urban regeneration projects.
- Contribute to design from concept through to planning.
- Preparing site analysis and the producing high quality planning documents such as Design and Access Statements, Design Codes and Parameter Plans.
- Be a team player with effective communication skills.
- Contribute to success of the team and promote collaboration across the practice.
Skills & Experience
- A Master's in Urban Design or an architectural equivalent subject.
- Experience working on medium to large-scale urban or suburban housing design and master planning projects.
- Good knowledge of urban design best practice and UK planning policy.
- Excellent presentation and graphics skills, with the ability to create good quality illustrated, print-ready reports related to our projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong collaborative internal and external working relationships.

- A passion for housing and creating better places.
- Strong IT skills, with experience of using all MS Office applications and highly proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign and Sketchup.
