I've just taken on a fantastic opportunity for a Project Architect to work for an established medium sized practice in London. This is a permanent position with a salary circa £45,000 depending on experience, up to £52,000 for the right individual.

You'll need at least 2 years PQE and at least 5 years industry experience in total to be considered for this one. It's an all encompassing job running position and you'll need to be able to demonstrate a proven track record of working on a projects across all RIBA stages throughout your career thus far. There will be no weight put upon the technical stages or design stages, equal importance is put on all stages. What is important is your ability work alongside clients from the early design stages, develop a brief, assist them through the planning process, be the point of contact on site and more. As well as leading on some of the projects within the office you'll need some experience of managing small teams so leadership qualities would go far for this one.

If London based high-end residential schemes is your thing then this could be an ideal position for you. In an ideal world you should have worked within this field exclusively throughout your career, or this should at least the vast majority of your experience to date. Specifically this is your Belgravia/Knightsbridge style housing and it would be fantastic if you had experience of working on residential schemes in these areas.  

AutoCAD fluency is a must and you'll need to be able to hit the ground running. As mentioned above you'll be managing teams who will be doing the grunt of the drawing packages however you'll also need to be heavily involved in the drawings from time to time. SketchUp and knowledge of the Adobe Suite is also a must. The company in question also use ArchiCAD and it would be hugely beneficial to have so experience with this but it's not a pre requisite.
