Associate Director

Thriving and fun studio in East London known for contemporary commercial and residential refurbishment & new build schemes is on the lookout for an Associate Director to join its ranks. The studio are AJ retrofit award winners, and you will be invited to work with the Managing Director and manage a portfolio of multiple widely published UK based workplace projects, take a strategic oversight of team management, and develop client relationships. This role would suit an architect experienced in workplace and interiors projects, with a strong design eye and who has ambitions to take the next step into a strategic leadership role.

Job Description

• Oversee a team of project associates who are managing their own workplace projects. Take a strategic view of workplace projects within the business, and work with associates on programme management and planning resourcing
• Project and resource planning based on pipeline of work coming in to the business
• Take ownership of warm and developed client relationships and accounts
• Attend industry and networking events, and work with the Managing Director to build new relationships

Key Skills

• Strong experience in UK commercial workplace projects, with understanding across all design stages
• Experience managing multiple projects at once
• Capable at running teams of up to 10
• Experience in project planning, and resource management
• Ambitions to work at a strategic level within the business
• Strong communication and time management skills
