Is a designer and manufacturer of high reliability electronic motor control solutions, located for 41 years in Ringaskiddy Co. Cork, Ireland. The engineers in this organisation have developed the capability to design and manufacture the most advanced motion control products for aerospace, defence, industrial, and medical applications - applications where precise control of velocity, force, acceleration, and fluid flow are critical, is this something that would entice you?

They are now seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician, There is a team of three Manufacturing Engineering Technicians currently, two Manufacturing Engineers and a Team Leader. There are plans to grow this team even further towards the latter half of the year.


Your new role
This position reports to Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader working within the Operations group and is responsible for supporting the equipment and processes required to produce High reliability electronic circuit card and system assemblies. You will be responsible for sustaining the day-to-day maintenance of the SMT, PTH and Systems assembly equipment and manufacturing process procedures within the electronics manufacturing facility.

You will be working with Manufacturing, Product and Design Engineers on New Product Introductions (NPI) in relation to the timely ordering of stencils, jigs, fixtures and creating of equipment programs for SMT, PTH and Inspection equipment.

What you'll need to succeed
Greater than 2 years in a certified Electronics Manufacturing environment, applying Lean principles, contributing to improvement projects. Qualified trades personnel with industrial experience will also be considered. The successful candidate will be a problem solver, able to work on their own initiative with little supervision, in a manufacturing environment of rapidly changing priorities and keep production moving in the short term while having a long term focus on Lean and Continuous Improvement.

This role requires a high degree of flexibility in terms of working problems to resolution while having the interpersonal skills to work closely with others. Business demand may require overtime and/or shift at various times.

After 6 months of actual service new employees will be offered access to a Defined Contribution Pension Scheme. Company contributes 6% of gross salary, Employee contributes 5%. A Subsidised canteen will be made available.
