MWAI are looking Part II architectural assistants, or junior Interior Designers to join our growing London studio, get involved and work across a variety of different projects throughout the office. We can offer plenty of opportunities for a pathway to Part III qualification and / or experience working on high quality residential work in Central London.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys both architecture and interiors, working in a team setting, and has a good eye for detail, or flair for design.
MWAI are a 10 strong practice based in Marylebone. We work mostly on the refurbishment and extension of homes in historic context, hospitality & small developments in Central London. We are driven by a passion for sustainable retrofit, context and craft. MWAI are architecturally led, but also have a fledgling interior design practice, and small building firm. As a consequence, we work closely with contractors and regularly subcontract FF&E to artisans, or work directly with suppliers to deliver our detailed interiors.
Office life is important also. We work hard when we need to, but we also want to enjoy our time in the office, nurture a positive work environment, and make the most of life in Central London. We value the time spent in the studio working together, but equally see the benefit in flexible working. We have a generous holiday allowance, annual office trips, a defined career progression, pensions, and annual performance bonuses.
The ideal candidate will have:
At least two year’s work experience in a professional office, or equivalent.
Relevant, degree level qualifications.
Flair in either design or presentation skills.
Be an excellent communicator.
Vector works and sketch-up proficient, would be ideal, but not a must.
