Parks Development Manager - Temp role - £400 - £500 day rate
Hays is delighted to be working with an exceptional Local Authority based out of Hertfordshire. They have an exciting mix of market town aesthetic and urban buzz, with the most diverse population in Hertfordshire.
Your new role
They are seeking an experienced Development Manager/Programme Manager to deliver support of their Parks Improvement Programme and projects. The town holds 17 Green Flags, 2 Green Heritage Awards and has 3 Parks ranked in the UK's top 10.
As Development Manager you will take on leadership of a number of the parks and cemeteries team and existing projects supported by our Enterprise Project Management Office, which include Rediscovering the River Programme, specifically launching a new workstream funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Another vital part is their Tree Planting Programme, alongside these you will also mobilise the following projects, Commissioning of a new Parks and Open Spaces Strategy.
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate you will hold a relevant degree as well as having experience in leading and managing large scale projects for parks or the leisure sector. Having local authority experience is also beneficial as well as strong leadership qualities as you will manage multiple teams.
The local authority offer agile working and are easily commutable from all surrounding areas.
