CAD Technician

Hays are working with a major and prestigious Westminster-based central government department, who are seeking a CAD Technician for a 6 month contract.

The role sits directly within their in-house design team, carrying out Architecture and Interior Design work on a range of projects from new build to retrofit and refurbishment, at all RIBA Stages. The role holder will produce drawings, coordinating across various disciplines, and produce detailed (Stage 3 and 4) drawings for Architectural, Interior Design, M&E and Structural services.

The role will be offered on a contract-timesheet basis, with a pay-rate of circa £200 per day (depending on pay-type and experience level). The role is based in the office, with potential flexibility for home-working, as well as flexibility around start-finish times, providing core hours are fulfilled.

The successful candidate will need to obtain government clearance, which will be administered by the government department; however, applicants need to be aware that this needs to be completed before start-date, and the process can take up to 6 weeks. Due to constraints around the security clearance process, the role is only available for British passport (or dual nationality) holders.
