Housing Surveyor
Your new company
Our client is a not-for-profit housing association that has been providing affordable housing in Bedfordshire since 1962. The have a strong local presence despite being small, however growth is on the horizon.
Your new role
You'll play an important role in being responsible for the surveying function and the day-to-day line management of the repairs/voids team. You will be the Health and Safety lead officer for the company and be responsible for, delivering a high-quality service covering repairs and voids and disrepair claims. You will also undertake void, disrepair and property repair inspections, provide guidance and support to the multi skilled in-house team.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a rare individual who is capable of marrying strong self-management and administrative skills with empathy and support for your team members yet capable of being tough when needed. Educated to 'RICS/CIOB accredited degree or equivalent, IOSH or NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work Qualification is desirable.
Experience in repair and maintenance in residential properties and line management is ideal with good working knowledge of building regulations, including statutory/regulatory requirements and health and safety legislation.
