Iconic design studio based in the heart of Central London is on the lookout for a Sustainability Coordinator to join it's world renowned team. You will be responsible for promoting and imbedding the studio's environmental and sustainability strategy, with a focus on supporting design teams to attain net zero carbon across projects worldwide. You will be supported by an existing and experienced sustainability lead, and run research and training workshops with a focus on permeating the RIBA 2030 Climate challenge rationale through to designers and clients. To be considered for this role you will have an in-depth understanding of whole life carbon analysis and net zero carbon design, and be motivated by training and sharing knowledge across teams. The studio is a flexible employer with beautifully designed offices that promote open floor collaboration and design excellence. 

Job description

  • Carry out life carbon measurements across projects 
  • Deliver studio wide workshops and upskilling on environmental and sustainability legislation
  • Conduct research on environmental, sustainability and net zero carbon tools and legislation
  • Maintain in house database on sustainability 
  • Work closely with management teams on disseminating sustainability and environmental ethos to client stakeholders 

Key Skills

  • Formal training within architecture and sustainability is required
  • Experience within embodied carbon and lifecycle assessments 
  • Strong understanding of BREEAM and LEED
  • Previous experience within a sustainability focused role is essential 
  • Desire to realise net zero carbon targets across the studio and a passion for analysing data research, and assisting design solutions are key qualities
  • Open communication skills with the ability to bring people together through training and knowledge sharing 
  • Experience in OneClick LCA, and knowledge of Revit & Rhino workflows are advantageous but not essential
