CAD Technician required for growing multi-disciplinary studio in central Reading

Due to an increased workload this planning and design practice are looking for a CAD Technician to join their ambitious team in central Reading.

This practice has a wide portfolio of projects across the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia, and America. Their current portfolio is based primarily in the Middle East with several major design projects underway ranging from strategic master planning through to the detailed design stage.

This role will involve working across high profile and mid to large-scale projects, both in the UK and internationally. This role will see you part of the Architecture team and you will report directly to the Technical Director.

As an ideal candidate you must possess the following skills/attributes :-

• Produce and deliver high-quality production in AutoCAD and demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of ‘hands on’ experience.
• Preferably have obtained a basic technical qualification (Diploma or equivalent)
• Assist in maintaining and updating the company’s CAD standards, processes and asset libraries.
• An understanding and ability to comply with CAD standards and protocols.
• Working knowledge of BIM360 and Autodesk Navisworks for coordination.
• Working knowledge of Revit, Vectorworks, SketchUp, Rhinoceros and Photoshop would be beneficial.
• Middle East projects experience would be preferred but not necessary.
• Attention to detail in every aspect with good organizational skills.
• Self-motivated personality with the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams on multiple tasks to project timelines and crucial deadlines.
