Maintenance Surveyor

Our client is seeking an experienced, suitably qualified Maintenance Surveyor (engineer) to join their Estates and Facilities team. The ideal candidate will have experience of the types of Mechanical and Electrical plant which would typically be found in university or other campus type buildings and be able to demonstrate an excellent 'self starter' approach to solving and resolving both immediate helpdesk and longer term maintenance and statutory compliance issues.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideal candidate can have Higher Education or NHS experience and the ability to work and engage with a range of stakeholders and no technical 'customers' - staff and students would be an advantage. Since the role will also involve instructing specialist contractors, sometimes urgently, the ability to manage contractor relationships and ensure the establishment derives good value for Money from contracted works (including being able to diagnose/assess and specify practical requirements effectively) will also be important.
