Town Planner

Town Planner required for a permanent vacancy in Hertfordshire.


Your new role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established architectural practice. Formed in 1997, they have built strong relationships with their clients, priding themselves on working in partnership as part of their clients design team.

Due to continued success, they are now looking for an experienced Town Planner to manage their planning applications and appeals on behalf of their clients.

A Town Planner you will be part of a busy team, who are working across 30 projects at any one time from inception to completion. You will be involved in a wide variety of projects, including residential extensions, retail, hotels, mixed use developments.

Your day will include:
Preparing and submitting planning applications
Liaising with colleagues and providing updates on the planning status
Maintaining and updating the planning tracker
Obtaining specialist quotations for services
Consulting with external and internal stakeholders
Helping to prepare fee letters with information


What you'll need to succeed
The role of Town Planner is a very busy one, which requires you to be highly motivated and organised. You will need to prioritise your own workload and have strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues, clients and external professionals in a timely manner.

As Town Planner, you will hold an RTPI accredited degree, and will ideally have MRTPI status. You will have 1-2 years post-graduate planning experience and be up to date with the UK planning system, having prepared planning applications and appeals.

This role is office based, therefore you must be based within commuting distance of Hertfordshire.
