Hays are delighted to be working with a building consultancy and property management company based in Norwich. With over a decade in operation, they are undertaking exciting projects on heritage and education buildings throughout Norfolk and Suffolk.

With the company going from strength to strength, they are looking to invest in their growth by appointing an experienced Senior Architect or Technologist to support in delivering a range of projects, valuing from £50K to £1m. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to make a difference by delivering meaningful and impactful work where profits are reinvested into community developments, working alongside a friendly team in the beautiful setting of Norwich.

Your new role
As a dynamic member of the team, your job will include developing and managing primarily education focused projects through all RIBA stages, from initial feasibility/planning through to project delivery and completion. Projects include educational building extensions, refurbishment and alterations, design work and feasibility studies and heritage buildings.

This will be a client facing and lead generating role where you will be main point of contact for clients and stakeholders, job running and developing and maintaining relationships with local and national contractors including managing other consultants and specialists.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and possess a full driving licence. You must have excellent knowledge of and managing statutory compliance of planning and building regulations applications, CDM regulations etc.
Whilst experience in educational buildings is strongly desirable, our client is seeking a proactive Senior Architect or Technologist who can demonstrate ability in their field and have willingness to learn. You will need the ability to work self sufficiently whilst also being able to lead and motivate a small team.
