Senior Building Surveyor

Your new company
Hays is delighted to be working exclusively with a well-established organisation set in historic and rural surroundings of Hertfordshire. You'll be joining a well-functioning team managing a varied portfolio. No day is ever the same in this role, their portfolio consists of some exciting developments with Film Studios, a large data centre, a new town centre development. They are a forward thinking and commercial organisation and working with colleagues outside the property section is regular and very collaborative.


Your new role
The role is extremely varied and will require you to undertake landlord and tenant professional work on industrial, commercial, retail and other types of premises such as community centres, grazing land, open storage land, sport and recreation grounds including pavilions, ground leases and some residential for the organisations owned SPV, who hold residential investment property, let on the open market. Experience of negotiation is necessary. Negotiating short term occupational agreements such as scaffold licences, compound licences, easements, garden licences etc. To understand title deeds, encroachments, and restrictive covenants. You will also be required to drive the industrial portfolio comprising 2 modern estates of some 89 units( with service charge) , ground leases and other premises on FR&I leases.


What you'll need to succeed
You will be MRICS chartered or newly qualified with a strong understanding of landlord and tenant acts as well as experience within the industrial, commercial, retail sector.
