Job Details

FRAME is proudly working alongside a High-End Residential Design company to recruit for an Interior Designer.
  
The ideal candidate should come with a proven strong background and more than 3-4 years' experience in interior design for private residential, developers, and show home clients. Furthermore, good FF&E experience across a broad spectrum of price points is important along with spatial awareness skills and attention to detail. It would be an advantage if they have detailed knowledge of fabric and wallpaper companies and are willing to travel to sites, warehouse, and undertake local sourcing trips. The ideal candidate must be proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and other 3D modelling packages. Ideally, they would have some knowledge of residential furniture & lighting sales, with some experience of UK and European (Italian/Spanish/Portuguese) brands; this would be a distinct advantage but is not essential. In-house training will be provided. The successful candidate will be expected to provide background evidence of working on projects from inception through to completion.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting directly to the Design Director
  • Supporting private client and/or show home interior design briefs
  • Sourcing, designing, and implementing interior design schemes for clients
  • Preparing presentations and mood boards on time and to our high-quality standards
  • Liaising with suppliers and the in-house Customer Service team
  • Working on pricings, quotations; preparing client budgets and costings
  • Designing show homes and collaborating with the broader design team on larger projects where needed
  • Undertaking surveys and measurements as required
  • Assisting the Design Director in managing workflow
  • Attending client meetings, installations, and managing onsite fitting team
  • Working with the Design Director to generate new business
  • Being a multi-faceted role, the candidate needs to be able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
  
Key Requirements
  • IT literate, proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook; AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop
  • Able to meet deadlines effectively
  • Able to work on own initiative, multitask, and juggle a changing workload
  • Numerate, able to make accurate calculations
  • Own car essential
  • Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritize duties, work effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Able to demonstrate strong confidence & conviction with clients
  • Strong knowledge of working with fabrics, including experience in designing, measuring, and carrying out quotations and proposals
  • Minimum of 3-4 years' relevant experience
  • Strong creative skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Well-presented and personable, with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage junior & intermediate members of the design team
  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and as part of an effective team
