The UK's strategic and local road infrastructure is a vital asset for communities and businesses, supporting economic prosperity and social connectivity.

As a major tier 1 contractor and framework partner, we play a key role in providing multi-faceted engineering services to keep these vital arteries running, ensuring smoother, safer, less congested journeys for everyone.

Our teams work on complex, high-profile national motorways, trunk road schemes as well as local authority road networks to deliver comprehensive, integrated services including design and build. These infrastructure solutions are enhanced by our complementary tunnelling and bridge design and build capabilities.

Whether working on Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) schemes or construct only works, we always endeavour to share best practice and deliver progressive solutions by engaging as early as possible with our customers to maximise innovation, efficiency, and cost savings.

Your new role
Responsibilities:

Development and maintenance of Project schedules including the development and submission of "get to gate"
Schedules and project schedules to support relevant business cases.
Monthly updates to project schedules and supporting reporting processes through appropriate variance analysis. Development of baseline changes to support the CE process
As an experienced planner, you will be educated to professional level with a relevant degree or equivalent in a core business discipline and you will have extensive experience in programme and project management, project planning, including programme controls, project review, cost and risk analysis.


What you'll need to succeed

The person:

Educated to professional level with a relevant degree or equivalent in a core business discipline
Highways Experience is essential
Prior experience on large multidisciplinary Highway or Infrastructure projects
Through understanding and experience in the use of project management software
Extensive experience in programme and project management, project planning, including programme controls, project review, and cost and risk analysis
Ability to plan construction works from first principles, preferably with experience in multi discipline major projects
Extensive site experience on business related projects in a management or supervisory capacity
Extensive experience of the impact that commercial events have on the baseline programme
Extensive experience of working on multi-discipline projects within Highways sectors
Bid and project planning experience on construction projects
Experience in recognition and recording of any change in requirements
Experience of actively measuring and monitoring performance and the presentation of the results in a logical manner to support continuous improvement
Experience in the interpretation of data and information and producing it in a clear and logical format
