Construction Superintendent (Peterborough)


The Construction Superintendent (reporting to the Programme Director) will oversee and support the management of consistent quality, cost and timely delivery of all construction activities carried out on site. The role will Implement and promote a culture of collaboration, best practice & continuous improvement across the programme and supply chain, bringing the best from partners and other industries where appropriate. It will challenge across the programme to achieve improvements to existing standards and practices and will work with the Project Area Management (PAM) team to support and ensure all construction activities are consistently provided in compliance with the scheme deliverables from development stage ready to go to site and project completion with zero defects at DM4


Key Responsibilities
Develop and sustain a high performing integrated programme across SPA
Support Operational team members to perform their role and delivery of the SPA standards
Work with the Project Area Managers (PAMs) to establish long term programme resource needs
Proactively resolve resourcing issues through PAMs or Project Director
'Country over club' mentality when planning resources with best for task as the main driver
Ensure that H&S is not comprised at any time
Provide visible H&S & Wellbeing leadership
Establish and maintain a culture of care and learning (LIFE)

About You
Solid experience at leadership level
Significant reputable Construction and H&S experience
Water sector experience
Experience of managing teams' large projects or programmes >£50M
Experience of managing multiple stakeholder groups - internal and external to the organisation
Experience of working in Joint Venture/partnering arrangement
A Full UK driving licence
Excellent leadership skills
Excellent Communicator
Resilient
Performance driven
People person
Adopts a can-do attitude & willing to be hands on if required to achieve the deliverables
