People Advisor Full Time role based in Bedford

Your new role:

This company is looking to hire a People & Culture Advisor to join their HR team. This is an interim role initially, working a 9 month fixed term contract. The role will be hybrid working, with certain days expected to work on site located in Bedford.
Working closely with the HR team, the role of the P&C Advisor is to support the P&C team with the delivery of day-to-day P&C duties which include the deployment and effectiveness of a broad range of defined P&C processes. The role is predominantly process and admin driven so requires someone who is confident speaking to others and who can provide good customer service.

What you'll need to succeed:

- Experience in a generalist P&C advisory role in a high growth business.
- Experience coping with variety, complexity, and tight deadlines in a busy P&C environment
- Experience providing operational guidance to line managers/ employees and working with relevant stakeholders to adapt P&C policies and processes to ensure positive employee experience.
- Experience in supporting recruitment activities (e.g., interviews)
- Working knowledge of relevant areas of employment law and P&C best practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer focus and stakeholder management skills
- Adaptable and adept at creating positive experience for employees.
- Handling personal information and dealing with P&C matters with integrity, sensitivity, and empathy
- Passion for building and maintaining positive and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Calm and effective in a busy and rapidly changing environment
- Prioritisation and time management skills.

- CIPD qualification L3 or higher or equivalent
- Relevant People & Culture training/ qualification
- Experience in a generalist P&C advisory role at admin or advisor level within an engineering, environment.
- Experience supporting learning and development projects
- Experience in setting up early career's schemes etc.
- Experience in delivering policy, process and systems training to line managers
- Competent at translating P&C best practice approaches into policies, processes and people practice based on organisational context and strategic goals
