This is a great opportunity for an Estate Surveyor to join a local authority to support their Estate team with their Portfolio. Our client is a public sector organisation based in a easily commutable part of Hertfordshire, the team is very friendly and flexible hybrid working options are available as they encourage a healthy work life balance.

Your new role
The post holder will be responsible for working with the Head Of Estates and other members of the Estates Team (principally one Senior Estates Surveyor) to ensure that the Council manages its assets efficiently and effectively. The post holder will play a key role in various areas including the management of the commercial property portfolio of shops, industrial units and ground rented properties, assisting with disposals of land and property, developing and implementing the Council's asset review process and disposals programme, and providing valuations of land and property.

• Disposals of surplus land and property
• Developing and implementing processes
• Developing and monitoring the disposals programme
• Carrying out valuations of land and property
• Setting and monitoring Estates Service budgets
• Managing and contributing to a range of projects

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be educated to degree level - RICS accredited degree in Estate Management or Surveying. Also proven experience in valuations and Estate Management is essential. Good general experience of working in a team and dealing with a variety of people is also a key attribute that will be desired.
