Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Your new company
You will be joining an established contractor based in Derby working on contracts for a major water framework in the Midlands. This multi-accredited organisation specialises in a range of civil engineering services, and they boast an impressive list of major high-profile clients they work in partnership with. Due to continued success and growth, they are looking to onboard an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their successful team.


Your new role
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and be responsible for, but not limited to, analysing drawings and blueprints, preparing estimates for material costs, preparing financial documents, writing contracts, identifying commercial risks as well as analysing project finances.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will be an ambitious individual and hold a degree/HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying (or similar). In addition, you will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and be proficient with Microsoft Office. Finally, previous experience in the water and/or utilities sectors is highly desirable and graduates with no previous experience will be equally considered.
