Your new company
You will be joining an established Tier 1 contractor based in Derby working on a major water framework in the Midlands area. This multi-accredited organisation has a strong pipeline of work in the water sector, and they are currently working on clean water and wastewater infrastructure schemes (including diversions and requisitions) valued up to £6m. They offer excellent opportunities for uncapped career progression and professional development, and due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.


Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for, but not limited to, producing and providing accurate forecasts of project costs to completion/final value, monitoring cash flow and valuation plans, managing subcontract tender processes, managing subcontractor accounts as well as providing accurate reports of costs and values on the projects.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have at least 2 years' experience surveying on heavy civils schemes, preferably in the water sector, and have a sound understanding of NEC3 and/or NEC4 forms of contracts. In addition, you will have a degree/HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying (or experience equivalent) and be able to prioritise workloads and work within set deadlines. Finally, you will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
