This company is a leading civil contractor in The Midlands region, working on an exciting pipeline of projects across the highways, rail, and water sectors of the industry. Due to continued growth and major project wins you will get the opportunity to work across all these sectors nationwide working with high profile clientele on projects worth between £100k and £10m.
Your new role
As a Managing Quantity Surveyor you will be looking after the commercial department of this company, whilst reporting to the Managing Director. You will be looking after projects worth up to £10m, as well as overseeing your team of Quantity Surveyors and maintaining the standard, quality and consistency of their works as well as providing appropriate training and support to the team.
What you'll need to succeed
For this role, previous experience within civil contracting working on projects using NEC 3/4 contracts would be preferable and someone who has previously managed a team of Quantity Surveyors would be desirable, but not essential as long as strong communication skills and a great team working ability is proven, alongside people management skills. This is an ideal position for a senior quantity surveyor ready to take the next step in their career
What you'll get in return
In return for this role you could be re-numerated with a package up to £70,000 per annum, dependent on previous experience within the civil engineering sector. A great package including pension match scheme, company life assurance and brilliant company events all come with the role.
