Your new company
You will be working for a property development company based in Derbyshire, they operate as an SME and are looking to double their turnover within the next year. They specialise in maintenance projects predominantly in the retail sector as well as leisure and office fit-out.


Your new role
You will work as an Estimator ideally with QS experience

• Work closely with clients, architects, designers, and contractors to understand their requirements and specifications for retail fit-out projects
• Research and analyse the costs of materials, labour, equipment, transport, and other factors that affect the project budget
• Prepare and submit accurate and competitive tenders and quotations for retail fit-out projects, using relevant software and tools
• Negotiate and agree on contracts and work schedules with clients and subcontractors
• Monitor and control the costs and variations during the construction stage, ensuring that the project stays within the agreed budget and timeline
• Prepare and issue invoices and payment certificates to clients and subcontractors
• Liaise with project managers, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of retail fit-out projects
• Prepare and present cost reports and forecasts to clients and management
• Identify and manage any risks or issues that may arise during the project lifecycle

You will also have the opportunity to advance into the role of Commercial Manager.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role the candidate would ideally have 5+ years of shop fit experience as well as a hunger to progress through the business and develop professionally.
