Quantity Surveyor

Your new company
You will be joining a national Tier 1 contractor carrying out utility diversion schemes on the major HS2 project in Birmingham. This organisation has a strong pipeline of work in the utilities sector, covering both clean water and wastewater works, and they have a proven successful track record of delivering major capital projects across the country. Due to increased workload, they are now looking to onboard a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.


Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor you will be reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and be responsible for, but not limited to, producing and providing accurate forecasts of project costs to completion/final value, monitoring cash flow and valuation plans, managing subcontract tender processes, managing subcontractor accounts as well as providing accurate reports of costs and values on the projects.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have at least 2 years' experience surveying on heavy civils schemes, preferably in the water and/or utilities sectors, and have a sound understanding of NEC3 and/or NEC4 forms of contracts. In addition, you will have a degree/HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying (or experience equivalent) and be able to prioritise workloads and work within set deadlines. Finally, you will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
